SPONSORED POST / HOW TO PICK THE BEST FAMILY VILLA IN BALI

It’s that time of year again, when my thoughts immediately turn to exotic holidays and the lure of travel appeals even more so than normal. (To be fair I am that person that would happily go away every single month if I could!)

Like most people, I love taking my family away on holiday. Nothing gives me greater pleasure! However, when it comes to family holiday accommodation, this is when I get more than a little picky. Because whether your children are young (like mine) or older and in their teens, family accommodation can make or break a holiday. It really does matter.

One destination I’ve been looking at recently for my family is Seminyak, Bali . This high end resort (often considered to be the St Tropez of Asia!) is definitely on my family travel bucket list so when the brilliant team at Villa Finder asked me to share my top tips on how to find a perfect family villa in the area, well I was more than happy to oblige!

It’s given me the perfect excuse to unearth some real accommodation gems. But I warn you, if you haven’t got wanderlust yet, then you most definitely will have by the time you’ve read this article. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

SPACE

Hotel rooms can be lovely, but in my opinion, when you’re travelling as a family, particularly when you’ve got young children, villas are where it’s at when it comes to having and enjoying real space.

I’ve stayed in a number of villas over the past few years, including when Leo was just six months old, and you just can’t beat them. However it’s worth remembering that all villas are different and that sizes do and will vary.

To make sure your family have got the space you require (and dream of!) choose your villa carefully, considering the number of bedrooms, size of living spaces and dining areas and what spacial needs you may have as a family.

In Seminyak, Bali you’ll find a wide range of villas suitable for families, ranging from the smaller 2 bedroom villas that can accommodate up to 5 people and are perfect for the average sized family like mine ( I’ve got my eyes on this one) to larger villas with eight bedrooms that can cater for much larger families or groups.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Villas offer something really special because they are all unique. Which means that with a little research and a little help, every family will be able to find great accommodation that speaks to them and suits their needs.

The villas in Seminyak, Bali are all stunning – seriously you will be spoilt for choice! – but they also have their own style, which is fantastic because it means that whatever your personal preferences or wishes are, you won’t be hard pressed to find one to suit you. As a family you’ll definitely want to choose one that is child friendly but you may wish to consider other things too, like location (for instance, my children would definitely prefer to be close to a beach) or if the villa has a private swimming pool (perfect for enticing teenagers out of their rooms and into the sunshine for example!)

If you are struggling to find a Bali villa or are too spoilt for choice (which I think is probably the more likely reason!), it’s worth noting that Villa Finder are experts in helping families to find the right unique villa for them.

Their team of travel consultants will speak to you to understand your specific needs and desires and will ask a number of questions to ensure that they match you with the perfect villa. What could be easier than that?

PERSONALISED SERVICE

If you’re someone who loves the human touch, then please don’t think that staying in a Bali villa means you have to forgo the kind of personalised service you may get in a local hotel for instance, because this is absolutely not the case.

In fact, with Villa Finder, you can be rest assured that you will receive a brilliant personalised service for your family in this beautiful destination, because this is a travel firm which happily goes the extra mile for clients to help make their holidays even more special.

Whether you want to hold a BBQ party for your child’s birthday, have access to pool toys or need help cooking for your brood, Villa Finder can arrange anything according to your family’s needs from start to finish.

Personally I love the sound of having a daily chef (to give me and Jamie a break from cooking) and booking an in-villa massage through the concierge team. What a treat!

FINALLY…

Bali villas are extraordinarily stunning and peaceful and much cheaper than you may imagine. For families they offer the invaluable luxury of space and privacy as well as an extra pair of wise hands to help ensure that your well deserved family holiday is enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons.

The only problem you may have, is that your accommodation and support will be so fabulous, you probably won’t want to come home.
