SPONSORED / HOLIDAY INSPIRATION FOR BEAUTIFUL ABERSOCH

If you’re looking for a UK break to blow away the cobwebs this summer, then this is one place that might just do the trick for you.

Beautiful Abersoch is a popular coastal town in scenic North Wales that is renowned for it’s stunning beaches, gorgeous scenery and sailing waters. It’s also the perfect place to immerse yourself in the melodic Welsh language too.

I’ve been fortunate enough to holiday in North Wales a number of times over the years and let me tell you, it’s an area that is well worth considering for a get-away. Here’s my pick of some of the best places to stay and visit in the area.

WHAT TO SEE

ABERSOCH BEACH

Abersoch’s main beach is the most popular in the area and great for children, young families and windsurfers! Sheltered and sandy, with safe swimming, the beach offers great views of the mountains of West Wales. Plus if you fancy being a bit more adventurous, you can even take a boat trip to nearby St Tudwal and Bardsey Island or rent yourself a beach hut.

PORTHOR (WHISTLING SANDS) BEACH

For an unusual beach experience, try Porthor (Whistling Sands)  – a pretty, popular beach with unique sand particles that cause a whistling sound on a dry day, when you shuffle your feet!  It’s one of only two beaches in Europe to have this sand and if you fancy stretching your legs, there’s some stunning scenic walks nearby too.

PLAS YN RHIW

This National Trust property is a delightful old manor house that has been lovingly restored and offers an ornamental garden, wonderful views and plenty of space for the kids to run around and explore.

Pop inside the house of the Keating sisters and be transported back in time to get a true glimpse of what life was like in the 17th century.

WHERE TO STAY

ABERSOCH

For the ultimate Absersoch holiday, try staying by the beach to enjoy the views and take in that incredible sea air. There are lots of properties which offer a glimpse of the ocean but this one is my favourite. With the most magnificent sea views and private beach access from the garden (!) this wonderful holiday home really does have it all.

LLANBEDROG

For a peaceful stay in the heart of North Wales, try this pretty, quaint Welsh village. With it’s own picturesque beach, two pubs and a restaurant, it’s a delightful place which offers an escape from the hustle and bustle. This sleek and stylish penthouse is stunning and offers state of the art facilities and even boasts it’s own cinema screen with projector, great for family movie nights or a quiet and cosy afternoon. Heaven!

MYNYTHO

High in the hills, Mynytho is steeped in history and offers the most spellbinding views. If you’re looking for a break that offers unusual and exciting walks, then this is the place for you. This beautiful Grade 2 listed cottage is uniquely located in a special, historic setting, close to mountain and sea and offers a truly idyllic get-away.

Peaceful, beautiful UK breaks in the heart of the Welsh language region. Sound wonderful don’t they?
