Everything on this list has been tried and tested, and LOVED, by me. They are quite simply, the best maternity fashion secrets I’ve uncovered. Feel free to share them with your pregnant friends and sisters :-) On

Celebrating my pregnancy and the bump…

Now 33 weeks pregnant, I can well and truly say that I have fallen in love with my ever-growing bump over the last few months. So much so, that I think after baby Portman has made his / her arrival, I’m actually going to miss my bump, quite a lot. Yes it’s heavy and often gets in the way of me doing things (painting my toe nails is now almost

The pressure of perfection and why we should all be easier on ourselves & each other

I WAS going through my Twitter feed the other day when I came across a horrible and rather depressing article on the famous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In case you don’t know who Aishwarya is, in a nutshell, she is known for being one of the most beautiful women in the world and a global Bollywood superstar. Aishwaryi gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in November last

Pout of Approval: Zoe Alexander UK

WHEN I found out I was pregnant, I made a pact with myself, that no matter how grotty, weeble-like or huge I would feel, I’d always do my best to look stylish and feminine. I’ll be writing about

Thank you Mum for everything – for carrying me,  for putting yourself through agony to bring me into the world and for all the many,

Review: Maternity reflexology by Bumps Sheffield

Here’s a review I recently carried out for The Modern Girl’s Guide: Maternity reflexology by Bumps in Sheffield. LAST week I did something incredibly brave… I let a lady touch my feet. Now to you, that might not sound like a big deal, but for me, usually, the very thought of anyone touching my feet is enough to make me want to run a mile! But, early on Monday morning, I

Things I’ve loved this week…

It’s appreciation Sunday! Here’s what I’ve loved this week… 1) My first reflexology treatment – On Monday I did the unthinkable. I let someone touch my feet! Normally this would bring me out in hives (I’ve only ever had one pedicure, for my wedding and that was torture) but yet strangely it didn’t bother me one bit! The experience was fabulous and provided some much needed pregnancy relaxation. I’ll be
