SPONSORED / SUPPORTING MY SKIN WITH SEVEN SEAS – THE RESULTS!

For the past 60 days I’ve been trying out a new, exciting supplement from Seven Seas and finally, it’s time for me to report back and let you all know how I’ve got on.

To recap, I was asked to review their new Perfect7® Renewal Advanced, a UK-first of its kind beauty supplement to contain something called Ceramosides™, which are a natural source of ceramides. (If you missed my first post and want to catch up, you can read it here.)

In tests carried out by Seven Seas, Ceramosides™ were found to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles in 60 days, as well as improve the appearance of skin texture. So, when I was contacted by the team to ask if I’d like to try it, I was excited to give it a go and see if it really would make a difference.

Now, those of you who read this blog often, or follow me on social media will hopefully know that as ageing goes, I have absolutely no problem with it. In fact, I’m a firm believer that more of us should happily embrace our age and the natural, ageing process, and be proud of the fact that we’re all still here, living on this beautiful planet.

So for me personally, being part of this exciting campaign wasn’t about me trying to get rid of my wrinkles exactly (I actually really quite like wrinkles as I think they help to tell our story and add character to our faces) but more about seeing if this supplement really would make a difference to how I look and feel, and whether it would help me to be at my best as I approach the last year of my thirties. After all, healthy moisturised looking wrinkles are better than dry looking wrinkles!

SO WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT CLAIM TO DO?

Ceramides are naturally present in our skin’s moisture barrier and are a type of lipid that make up 50% of it. Sadly, as we get older our levels drop and this contributes to the appearance of wrinkles, rougher looking skin and visible signs of ageing.

Seven Seas say that their supplement containing Ceramosides™ works from within, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for more hydrated looking skin.

HOW HAVE I USED IT?

I’ve taken a daily vitamin and various other supplements for years, so for me it was an incredibly easy switch over from my usual supplements to the Perfect7® Renewal Advanced capsules.

I have taken the supplement’s three capsules – the Ceramosides™ capsule, the multivitamin and mineral tablet and the Seven Seas Omega-3 capsule – with a small glass of water every morning, just before I start my daily skincare and make up routine. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s been effortless.

HAS IT WORKED?

I’ve been very strict with taking the supplement, making sure that I took it for the full 60 days without fail and have been on constant ‘watch’ to see if the product was working.

For the first few weeks, I eagerly looked for any changes in my skin, but alas couldn’t find any and to be honest I did become a little bit despondent and worried that maybe I wouldn’t spot any! But that was really silly of me! Because supplements are not instant miracle workers, they take time, and low and behold about the 35 day mark I noticed when looking in the mirror that yes, my skin certainly seemed to have changed, for the better.

At first I thought it may just be the light, but after closer inspection I saw that the frown lines on my head (which are becoming more noticeable year after year) looked less prominent than before and that the skin on my cheeks looked plumper.

Bare faced and with make up

And now? Well after completing the 60 day trial, I am delighted to say that yes, the supplement has improved the quality of my skins appearance. The frown lines on my forehead, together with my laughter lines around my eyes look finer, almost a little airbrushed and the texture of my skin to the touch is altogether softer and a little plumper and smoother. I’m both surprised and thrilled.

WHAT DO THE EXPERTS SAY?

One of London’s leading beauty experts, Facialist Abigail James says:

* What is the main function of your skin?

The answer is – many, many things! The skin is a very complex organ and does everything from regulating temp to retaining essential fluids.

* What percentage of our body is made up of skin?

Around 12-13 per cent of our total body weight is our skin – so that’s one massive reason to make sure you’re looking after it!

* How much skin do you lose in a lifetime?

Our skin is constantly renewing – in that sense, we’re a bit like snakes! – We shed our dead skin cells and replace with new ones.

SO WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT?

Yes I would. Not just because it’s helped my skin look better, healthier and dare I say it, a little younger. (Or like I’ve actually slept for the past two years when I really, really haven’t!)

But also, because this is a beauty product which is, to pardon the pun, much more than skin deep! I absolutely love the fact that this is a supplement which is also good for your general overall health.

Taking Perfect7® Renewal Advanced is so simple. It’s quickly become my new daily health and beauty habit and when life is busy, challenging and occasionally feels impossible, it’s always made me feel like I’m at least taking one easy healthy step a day to looking after myself better.

A beauty supplement that is also great for your health? It’s got to be a win, win situation hasn’t it?
