PARTYWEAR WITH KETTLEWELL

Today I’m sharing some key party pieces from one of my favourite online fashion brands.

Kettlewell specialise in providing stylish, colourful clothing for women. I first got to hear about them just over a year ago after I’d had my ‘colours done’ and promptly ended my long standing love affair with black.

I’ve spent the last twelve months dipping my eager toes into the world of colour and Kettlewell has been a big part of my journey, enabling me to easily find lovely, wearable garments that suit my colouring.

Recently I experienced a further style class. One which revealed my style personality and left me with some useful guidelines to follow. So when I was asked if I wanted to choose some pieces from Kettlewell for the party season, I decided that this time, I would choose garments to suit both my colouring and my style personality too.

Firstly, this stunning Maria Cowl in geranium red. I knew as soon as I saw this top online that it would be perfect for Christmas, being a festive colour and also one of my ‘wow’ colours. And I absolutely love it!

It hangs beautifully and feels fantastic on. I’ve already worn it 3-4 times and I’ll be astonished if I don’t wear this on Christmas Day whilst carving the turkey or drinking a glass of plonk. Feminine and subtly glamorous, every time I slip it on, it feels like a treat.

Next, I chose these chocolate brown Sienna leggings which are easily the comfiest trousers I think I have ever owned.

Featuring a subtle metallic faux-suede effect on the front, these leggings go with everything and fit like a dream yet are as comfortable as my pyjama bottoms! Perfect for both casual and party wear, they’re set to become a wardrobe staple.

A top that works perfectly with the ‘leggings of dreams’ is this kingfisher chiffon faux wrap top. This choice was a bit of a gamble – my stylist actually was unsure about this style for me – but I’m so glad I went for it, as it’s really lovely on and has a touch of Indian charm about it, which I adore.

The sleeves make this top special and I really enjoyed wearing it – together with the sienna leggings – for my freelancing Christmas drinks and food last week.

Every party season requires a dress and so finally, I opted for this Lola dress in antique moss. Admittedly it’s not the glitziest of party dresses however recently I’ve become very aware of ‘cost per wear’ when it when it comes to my clothing so really wanted to chose a dress that will have longevity.

The Kettlewell Lola dress is womanly and feminine without being OTT so I know I’ll get plenty of wear out of it. And not just through the party season either, but beyond into next year.

There’s some fine pieces in the Kettlewell partywear collection this season and as always, I’ve been really impressed with both the quality and fit.

I was a little worried that the clothes might be a little plain according to my new ‘style personality’ however I needn’t have been concerned because they’ve actually been perfect!

Am I now party season ready? You betcha. However, these clothes aren’t just for Christmas and I for one, am really rather glad about that.
