Holidays That The Whole Family Will Love

One of the biggest problems about planning a holiday away is choosing something that everyone will enjoy. While the adults are likely to want to relax and sip cocktails, the children will most definitely need entertaining. This makes it difficult to choose where, when, what climate, and also your mode of travel. So I’ve compiled a list of holiday ideas that the whole family will love so that you’ve got one less thing to worry about.

Camping

There’s something really satisfying about pitching a tent, collecting firewood, and being at one with nature for a few days. Camping is one of the best kinds of vacations for all different reasons. Check some of them out:

  • Sleeping in a tent doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re miles away from amenities any more, as campsites have been opened that offer toilets, shower rooms, and even a shop to buy necessities.
  • The fresh air is good for everyone, and it will certainly make the children sleep better.
  • It’s possibly the cheapest kind of vacation you can have, as you’re still living very self reliantly.
  • Camping is a great way of bringing the family together to enjoy the simple things in life like sitting out under the stars, in front of a nice warm fire.
  • Once you’ve purchased your tent and other equipment, you’re free to go camping whenever for even cheaper than your first time!
  • Some campsites even offer a club house and things to do for the whole family.
  • It’s a great way of teaching your children about nature and survival skills, all while having fun and relaxing!

Cruises

Cruises are a fantastic way of kicking back and relaxing while being able to see some incredible sites along the way. Bolsover Cruise Club offer cruise and stay packages that you can tailor perfectly to your family. Perhaps you’ve all got a bit of a soft spot for Disney? Then why not consider a Disney cruise? The great part about cruises is that there are tons of things for the children to do, while Mum and Dad can relax and enjoy the experiences.

Adventure

If you’re more of a family that like being active all of the time, then an adventure holiday might just be the perfect solution for you. Why not travel somewhere with plenty of forests and nature trails so that you’re able to all experience new and exciting parts of the world? Or, perhaps you’d enjoy a safari better? Adventure holidays are great for keeping everyone active and entertained at all times, so it’s definitely something to consider if that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for!

Skiing

Skiing is a wonderful choice of vacation if you’re all into keeping active and trying out new sports. It’s also great for those that don’t get much chance of snow back at home, as you’re able to experience deep snowy mountains, and log cabins with open fires. Most ski resorts also offer a children’s slope, so even if your children are small they will be able to cater to everyone!

Staycation

Finally, if you’re a little strapped for cash, or you’re unable to get long periods of time off work, then why not consider a staycation instead? Travel to your nearest large city for a few nights and experience everything they’ve got to offer. London, for example, can offer the London eye, a plethora of restaurants, and plenty of things for the children to enjoy too! A staycation is still a vacation!
