MY LIGHT LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE

I’ve tried many things over the years that have been considered a little bonkers by others, but experiencing a Light Language session? Well even for me, this was most unusual.

If you haven’t heard of Light Language, fear not, you’re absolutely not alone. Neither had I. But when I did hear about it and was invited to give it a go, well I just couldn’t refuse. It sounded more than a little ‘woo-woo’, absolutely fascinating and therefore right up my street.

Simply put (and I do mean simply) Light Language is a type of energy healing. Lesser known then Reiki for example but beginning to grow in popularity.

It is, I’ll be honest, quite tricky to explain or even get your head around, so I’m going to give you the expert definition that I was given by Light Language practitioner Paula from Sambandha who carried out my fascinating session. (And I urge you to really keep your minds and hearts open as you read it.)

“Light Language is another type of high vibrational frequency of sound. It is considered to be the ‘language of angels’ or the ‘language of the soul’. It is both an ancient and futuristic, multi-dimensional form of communication that bypasses the logical mind and connects directly with the heart and soul.

“These dynamic frequencies of sound and light adjust to each person’s vibration, bringing about deep clearings, activations, healing and balancing.”

So now you know what it is, let me attempt to tell you what it was like.

Back over the summer, I was invited to try out Light Language in return for this honest review of my experience. Paula, who carried out my session, has recently become a self love and empowerment coach and is someone I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for a good few years. I’ve always noticed her kind, open energy and enjoyed being in her genuine, warm presence so have followed her new career path with interest.

So when she messaged me to ask if I’d be interested in trying a session, I knew that I’d be in safe hands and was keen to support Paula and give it a go. (Weirdly, the day she messaged me, I’d had it on my mind to contact Paula myself after seeing a post about her new Light Language services pop up on my Facebook feed. Was it the Universe working it’s magic? Perhaps! It was certainly great minds thinking alike.)

Onto the session itself. My Light Language experience began with a gentle and throughly enjoyable meditation. I had to imagine I was a small child again. Little Katie. And take myself on a journey throughout my body, floating and moving around on a soft, golden pillow.

Then, when I was relaxed and open, the Light Language began. Paula ‘channelled’ the language of the souls, enabling them to speak to mine. As sounds go, it’s near impossible for me to describe what the Light Language actually sounded like. For it was highly unusual and yet also somehow incredibly familiar. The sounds were like nothing I’ve ever heard before but very evidently came through Paula and not from Paula herself. A ‘channelling’ really is the only way I can describe it.

The sounds were not unpleasant and the language was often fast, spilling out of Paula’s mouth quickly. A cynic might say that she could have created these weird and wonderful sounds herself, but from what I experienced, all I can say, is that it really doesn’t seem possible to me.

The very speed at which the language came through Paula and the intense repetition of sounds was astounding. The other-worldly noises, pitches and tones that were channeled through her were mind boggling. They appeared to come from another place, another time and certainly did not sound human. Far from it.

During the session, I felt energy move around my body. Sometimes it would appear to stop in one place or occasionally grow in it’s intensity. If you’ve ever experienced Reiki before, it was very similar to that, in that I could feel energy flow and shift.

My eyes throughout were closed and yet in my mind, I often saw colour too. The most beautiful colours. Pinks and yellows mainly. Sometimes touches of blue. I was thoroughly relaxed and calm throughout the experience. Blissful even. And then towards the end of the session, a mantra came to me. A simple mantra that repeated itself, over and over again in my head.

I am soul. I am soul. I am soul.

Afterwards when Paula brought me out of the meditative state and back into the present moment, I told her about my experience and in particular, about the mantra that came to me. Delighted but not surprised, she then showed me a card she had pulled for me before the session. It was this one here.

And as you can see, from this explanation given to accompany that particular card, it certainly appears to tie in with the message or mantra I evidently received.

It’s really hard to explain what one session of anything in regards to spirituality or empowerment does for you as a human. Especially when it’s something that is new to you, pretty much unheard of and definitely not the norm.

But in an attempt to sum it up, I will say this. My Light Language session left me with a great feeling of peace and strengthened my already pretty firm belief, that there is so much more to us and to our human experience than we can ever possibly know.

It was charming, enlightening and calming. And I really hope, I get to do it again soon.
