COOL FEATURES FOR YOUR GARDEN

The garden can often end up being abandoned as the leaves start to fall and the nights close it. But there are a couple of features that can mean your garden is the place to be no matter what the weather (almost!).

Fire Pit

Depending on how old your children are and if you have pets, this might be a big hit – or a big miss! For those who have older families and either no pets or very well-behaved, obedient pets, a fire pit can be amazing. It’s not a great idea to have this completely covered with a roof and walls, but a pergola can be a great choice. Even in the cooler evenings, there can be joy in sitting by a fire, being covered by a roof in case of rain.

There are a couple of options for fire pits in the garden. Many people find gas-burning ones to be the easiest, but if you’re comfortable starting your own with wood and paper, then the large (and very popular) metal bowl style will work well.

Also, add safety rails around and over the pit.

Sauna

If relaxation and destressing sound like heaven to you, then a sauna in the garden should be high up on your list. Often, when people head out on holiday, they will take a dip in the evenings – no matter how cold the night is. You can take a look at saunas for sale near you and choose one that meets what you need. To get the right sauna, look at the different sizes, where in the garden you want to put it, who will use it, and the different types of heat – for example, steam or infrared.

Pizza Oven

We have all seen the cooking shows where they pull a freshly baked pizza out of a stone pizza oven – typically somewhere in the garden. That could be you! Although it is called a pizza oven, you can cook many different things in it.

There are a few different types of pizza ovens, too. For an authentic cook, you should take a look at the wood-fired pizza oven – but the downside is that they take more time for cleaning and general maintenance. Not to mention, you’ll need to learn how to cook with them properly.

Water Feature

Maybe you’re not interested in dipping in the water yourself, but you do want to enjoy the sounds that a water feature would bring to the garden. For those who like wildlife, a water feature tends to bring a lot of birds for drinking and bathing, which can be even more gorgeous during the spring and summer months.

For those who have limited space, a vertical water feature can be a great option – you get all of the joy of running water without the large amount of space that other water features can take up.
