FEATURED POST: Dress your babe with style!

*FEATURED POST* YOUR babe may be little but it doesn’t mean you can’t dress him or her with style! Thankfully, today’s baby and toddler clothing is just as chic as the outfits that us trendsetting mums are sporting. Babies are no longer confined to wearing bright colours or t-shirts adorned with popular children’s cartoon characters because of the incredible clothing designers and retailers out there who are creating unique, stylish baby

LESSONS FROM ELSIE: My wise (young) owl…

MANY a time I look at my little Elsie Porridge and think she is the wisest person I know. You may think that’s crazy. And perhaps you would be right. Afterall, she’s only eight months old. But I ask you this – have you ever met a happy, bouncing baby who doesn’t know how to really enjoy life? For my awesome little girl may be young, but make no mistake,

Lessons from Elsie: Stay calm to cope

Call me bonkers, call me fiery, call me hormonal (or don’t if you’ve any sense) but sometimes life’s little challenges have been known to make me want to bloody well scream. As a new Mum, I now get it. I understand. It’s love, but not as you know it. I like to think I know how to love and be loved. I certainly hope

Elsie (my beautiful little lady) is of course my priority now, which means that my days and nights are spent doing the most important job in the world – being a Mum. I’ve also

A very special announcement…

BEAN has arrived! Our beautiful daughter Elsie Florence Portman was born over a month ago on 20th July at 5.50am after a long and somewhat challenging 24 hour labour. She didn’t make things easy that’s for sure, but I can wholeheartedly say that bringing her safely into the world was the best moment of my life and I’d do it all again in a New York minute. I’ve been so

Waiting for Bean…

Very soon life is going to change. In fact, everything is going to completely change for my husband and I. We’re waiting for the arrival of our little bundle of joy, our now not-so-little Bean.  Waiting for our son or daughter to come into the world and change our lives forever. Soon, we will no longer be a couple, but a family. It’s a pretty awesome thought. At 39 weeks
