STYLE: Best beauty advice EVER…

Kate & Jamie 2 362

I WAS visiting the fantastic new beauty website by talented writer Sali Hughes last week when I came across Sali’s interview with makeup maestro Bobbi Brown.

I’m a huge fan of Bobbi Brown makeup but an even bigger fan of her ethos, which is that women should use makeup to ENHANCE their natural and unique beauty, not as a mask to try and hide any flaws.

The full interview is well worth a read, but this quote in particular really hit home with me so I thought I’d share Bobbi’s very wise words with you.

I hope you find them as inspiring as I did. Enjoy! x

“I think it’s time for women to just stop what they’re doing and listen to me. Look in the mirror once in the morning, check your teeth after lunch and then stop. There are so many more important things than this perfection that doesn’t even exist… It’s time to get a little more relaxed, more accepting of who we are. Everybody has beautiful things about them and we’re all focusing on the things we don’t like.” Bobbi Brown, 2013

Till the next time, celebrate your beauty!

Katie

  • Hi Kate, Wow this is so true, you’ve only got one life on this planet, stop moaning what you don’t like about yourself and get on with it, or do something about it, and when someone compliments you, just kindly say thank you, but I must admit I do find it hard just to say thank you, but I am going to learn right now today! You are so amazing Kate, such an inspiration to us girlies! Thank you XXX

    • Thank you Janine! It’s my mission to make women feel better about themselves so when I came across this quote, I knew I had to share it. It’s so powerful!

Regarding compliments, you can do it! Just smile and say thank you. It’ll soon come easy with practice :) x
