#AD / SUMMER KETTLEWELL ADDITIONS TO MY WARDROBE

With the summer holidays very nearly upon us, I thought it was about time I wrote a blog post that I’ve been meaning to write for ages.

Admittedly it feels rather strange to be writing about summer clothes, as I gaze out of the window and see grey clouds and drizzle. But ever hopeful of sunnier British weather and keeping my fingers crossed that perhaps it will encourage the rain to disappear and let that sun shine, here’s a little wardrobe update about some lovely pieces from Kettlewell Colours that I’ve added over the past few months.

Please note, that although these were gifted, they are all very much loved!

Many of you will hopefully know by now that I’ve worked with the brilliant Kettlewell for a while, ever since I had my colours analysed a few years ago. But if you had no idea or if you haven’t heard of them, Kettlewell Colours is a proud British brand with a great ethos, delivering quality, classic pieces in every colour you can imagine!

For the past few years, the lovely team have very kindly allowed me to select a few pieces from each season and here’s what I chose – after careful consideration – for this summer. Bold colour in my autumn shades, a square neckline and the most fabulous (and incredibly comfortable!) leopard print culottes.

The Verona jumper is a true classic and as it’s in my favourite colour heliotrope, I don’t think I’ll ever tire of wearing it, whilst the square neck jersey tee is fast becoming an every day staple. I’m not used to wearing a square neckline so it’s great to try something different. Let’s face it, it’s always good to mix things up!

The leopard print culottes are so comfortable, I never want to take them off and for something a little dressier, I absolutely adore the vibrancy and the luxe fabric of the orange satin ruffle top. A truly gorgeous piece.

I did hope that I’d be packing a few of these beauties into my suitcase for our planned holiday to Greece but alas, as we’ve had to cancel that due to the pandemic, I’ll just have to treat them to a day out or two at home instead. (The silver lining being I’ll probably get to wear that gorgeous heliotrope jumper more often now, on chilly days at the British seaside. Perfect to keep me warm whilst eating fish and chips on the seafront!)

If you haven’t yet tried Kettlewell but fancy treating yourself to a new item or two for the holidays, please do pop over and have a look. They truly are experts in colour and the pieces, if loved correctly, will last you years. Just two very good reasons why this brand will always be a colourful favourite of mine.
