SOMETIMES when I look around our project house, I get frustrated.
With the amount of work that still needs to be done on it and how little time we have to do the things that need to be done!
ONE of the things I love to do is to get a group of pals together and throw a little dinner party.
Admittedly it’s not something I’ve done too much of lately. (Early pregnancy kind of puts a spanner in the work when it comes to this kind of thing!)
But over the years I’ve hosted many a dinner and a number of other types of parties too – eurovision party or afternoon tea anyone?!
OUR bathroom currently has an eighties vibe.
It’s old fashioned, it’s pink (yes, really) and thankfully it’s at least functional. But besides the huge bath we have which is wonderful (the previous owner was a very tall man!) there’s not much else I can say to sing its praises, try as I might.
Truth be told, it’s desperate to be redone. All of it. From scratch.
I LOVE a good piece of art. Or a pretty picture.
But let’s be honest, it’s not so easy finding stunning prints or art work that is both affordable and easy to frame.
Particularly, if you’re anything like me and have a wee penchant for gallery walls!
But folks, I think I may have actually found the answer thanks to the work of a Scandinavian company which has recently launched in the UK.
I‘VE never been one to make life easy.
Which is why when I was heavily pregnant with Elsie, I – together with my husband – decided it would be a really good idea to buy a house that needed tons of work doing on it.
A project home. Something we could both get our teeth into.
THE older I get, the more I find myself shunning neutrals in favour of colour.
Particularly when it comes to my home.
There’s just something about adding colour, which makes me happy, especially when it comes to accessories and the like.
NOTHING delights me more, I don’t think, than the fact that my three year old daughter adores books just as much as I do.
As a total and utter bookworm, it was something that I had hoped would happen. The very fact that it has, makes me want to punch in the air and mum dance across the kitchen.
Hello! I'm Kate - an award winning family & lifestyle blogger, freelance writer & mum.
1st book & 2nd baby both due in 2017. (Yep, I'm a little excited.)
Here I share my tales of how I try to strut my way - but often find myself hobbling (don't we all?!) - through life & parenting.
I do hope you'll enjoy what you read. Thanks so much for popping by. x
