LIKE most of us, I absolutely adore jewellery.

But in particular, I love jewellery that tells a story, that shares who we are and what we are all about.

Don’t get me wrong I love a good piece of costume jewellery as much as anyone else, but it’s the little trinkets that once belonged to my Gran, the pieces of jewellery that my husband has bought for me over the years and the stunning diamond locket that I received for my first Mother’s Day which I cherish most of all.

These are the pieces that I would grab in an emergency if I had the chance. The pieces that feel like me. The pieces that I love.

I’m a firm believer that our jewellery should tell our stories and represent who we are to the world. After all, they are such personal items to wear.

To give you an idea, Trollbeads asked me to create my very own bracelet. And thankfully, it was much easier than I thought! I was so worried that with the hundreds of gorgeous beads and charms that I would struggle to choose, but I was mistaken! It really was as easy as 1, 2, 3.

As I’m always short of time, I decided to use their brilliant app which you can use online or download on your iPhone, to help me create it. All I had to do was answer a few very simple questions and da, daa, my unique bracelet and selected beads appeared within seconds on screen as if by magic! And here it is:

The two charms on the bracelet are my favourite and as two charms are a good number to start off with, these are the ones I’ve gone for.

I opted for my horoscope charm Saggitarius (because I thought it was a rather beautiful reminder of who I am) and the stunning Lavender Prism bead because it’s my favourite colour and it sparkles! Pretty huh?

I loved getting creative with Trollbeads and I think the idea is really rather wonderful. What’s more they make the absolute perfect gift for loved ones at Christmas. And for those men who are reading, this my friends, is for you!…
