PARTYWEAR WITH KETTLEWELL

Today I’m sharing some key party pieces from one of my favourite online fashion brands. Kettlewell specialise in providing stylish, colourful clothing for women. I first got to hear about them just over a year ago after I’d had my ‘colours done’ and promptly ended my long standing love affair with black. I’ve spent the last twelve months dipping my eager toes into the world of colour and Kettlewell has

A BIT OF ‘ALL WHITE’ IN ITALY

AFTER a fabulous week away living ‘La Dolce Vita’, I’m back in blighty and just about getting back to reality! How the devil are you all?! It feels a little silly writing this post today, as I sit huddled by the fire, with my woolies on (!), but seeing as we all need some sunshine, I thought I’d share a very ‘summery’ style post. (Think of it as my little dedication to

MY STYLE: ANIMAL PRINT & A LITTLE BLACK BAG

WHEN it comes to style, there are a few things I don’t think I’ll ever tire off. Skinny jeans, high heels and sequins are up there. As are animal prints and handbags too. I adore animal prints. At Uni I was known for my leopard print trousers (probably because I wore them to death!) and this love affair with all animal fabrics is one which has continued way into my thirties.

LIFE & SOME BLOGGING HIGHLIGHTS

ISN’T it funny how just when you’re feeling life isn’t your best friend… Things suddenly seem to buck up! After a rotten few months, this week has been pretty marvellous in comparison and in terms of my work / blogging life, well things couldn’t be lovelier. This week I found out that I have finally, finally (!) made the respected Tots100, after three and a half years of blogging  (I’m

FEELING ‘FOXY’ WEARING FOX IN A GLOVE & CRU

EVER wondered how women years gone by looked immaculate? How their clothes fitted them so well? How they always looked pulled together and groomed? Well the secret is that their clothes were made for them or that they made their clothing themselves. No cheap fashion, ‘grab something off a rack’  in decades past. Nope. Their clothes were made to fit their bodies and suit their shape and boy, didn’t they

Rose gold and pretty flowers…

WHEN it comes to jewellery, big usually equals better for me. Or at least normally it does. I’m renowned amongst friends for my fan-dabby-dozzy chandelier earrings (Pat Butcher is my earring idol) and I’ve had a long love affair with statement necklaces and chunky embellished cuffs. But over the past year or so, I’ve started a new romance with daintier pieces of jewellery. Pieces that don’t scream but whisper. Pieces

Stepping out in ‘Air & Grace’

WHAT if I told you I’d found the comfiest boots in the world? Would you believe me? It’s a bold claim to make I know. And is of course, pretty darn impossible to prove. However, if these Air & Grace boots aren’t the comfiest boots in the world, I’m in no doubt, that they will come up close. I know quite a bit about shoes you see. In my twenties

A classic black dress and a trusty trench

THE older I get, the more I understand the need for quality and longevity when it comes to clothing. Sure I like a bargain and to splurge on something frivolous from time to time, but I’m becoming quite the fan of classic pieces and the important role they play in my wardrobe. A little black dress is one of those classic pieces, if you get it right, that is. I
