Style: A ‘poutalicious’ brooch…
For me, the best jewellery pieces are those that have tales to tell.
(What can I say? I’m a sentimental softie at heart.)
So when a very lovely friend of mine offered to design and make me a bespoke jewellery piece, I was deeply touched and naturally, snapped her incredibly talented hand off straight away.
Jessica Steele, off Bijoux Twenty Two Jewellery, describes her designs as unique and timeless and is one of those women whom by rights one should hate because she’s just so, well so damn marvellous :)
Stupendously gorgeous, oh so stylish, kind, thoughtful and creative, she has it all in spades. And to top it all, she makes awesome jewellery too.
I decided that I’d love a brooch to add to my collection, so Jessica kindly agreed to make me a ‘pout’ brooch and here is the final stunning result.
Jess – as she is known – made the brooch from silver sheet. Onto it, she drew the pout design which was then cut out using a piercing saw. She then filed it into shape and used an engraver to create the swirled finish.
Isn’t it amazing?! I love the way Jessica has taken a classic traditional jewellery item and made it utterly modern.
Thank you Jess for designing and crafting me such a beautiful piece. It’s wonderfully, lipsmackingly fabulous and now one of my most treasured possessions.

Till we meet again,
Katie
