All About You – Patience

THIS week I’m delighted to be co-hosting the All About You link up, with my gorgeous buddy Zaz and fellow fabulous blogger Sarah.

Before we all get started and I get reading all your incredible posts, I wanted to share with you this brilliant quote I came across yesterday about patience which really struck a chord with me. Good isn’t it?

I don’t know about you but patience is not one of my virtues unfortunately. I try to be patient but I’m the kind of gal who wants things done today, who wants things now, right now! I hate waiting. It just doesn’t suit my DNA but…as much as I hate to admit it, it’s so important.

Because life doesn’t always work out quite the way we want it to. Because the good stuff and the important things in life can’t be rushed, no matter how much we want them to.

As bloggers, I think I can safely speak for most if not all of us and say that we all want to be successful. We all want our blogs to be loved, to be known, enjoyed and respected. To achieve blogging fame and for our words to light up the world!

The reality of course is that this doesn’t happen overnight. Becoming a successful blogger takes time, consistency, effort and… yep, you guessed it PATIENCE!

So, if you’re feeling down about your blog, wondering why you bother or thinking you’ll never reach those lofty blogging heights, this is a reminder for you (and for me) to be calm and to be patient. Afterall, good things come to those who wait right?! ;-)

Thank you Kate for inviting me to the link up…! I mostly only link to fashion ones so it’s nice to find ones that cater for my non-outfit posts. And you mentioned patience: I took two years to become a pro blogger which I’ve been for a year now, but my husband started a blog this year and of course I’m helping him. He’s STREAKS ahead of me at the same stage in terms of interaction, followers, social media updates, etc. but I’m getting so impatient with how it’s going and want it all to happen for him now!! He’s totally chilled about it but I’m chomping at the bit on his behalf, hehe ;))

Brilliant AAY post hon – I completely agree, and often feel frustrated with blogging for just that reason. Having said this, I blog in a leisurely fashion, so can’t expect amazing success – but… watch this space! So happy to have you on board for All About You xx
