ITALY, HERE WE COME!

I’M feeling a little frantic today.

But that’s OK, because there’s a very good reason why, as next week the three of us are off to Italy, kindly invited by the brilliant Bookings For You.

Some of you may remember, I took a little trip back in October, with this super company and stayed in Lake Maggiore, a place we’d never been too previously. (You can catch it here, if you missed it!)

And this time around, we’re again going to an area we’ve never been to  (or even heard of!) and it’s safe to say we’re all just a little excited!

Next week, we’ll be staying in the Umbria region of Italy, which is often referred to as the ‘Green Heart of Italy’. It looks incredibly beautiful and apparently is chock a block full of the most stunning medieval towns and cities.

I don’t know how true it is (although will do my best to find out!) but apparently the region is like visiting Italy back in time, so unspoiled by modern life, that the Italians leave their doors unlocked.

It’s also renowned for ‘truffle’ which is perfect for me, as it’s one of my most favourite Italian delicacies. Yum, yum.

Fancy having a peak at where we’re going to be staying?

Course you do!

This is our accommodation for the week. A stunning two bedroom property near Foligno. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Elsie was over the moon to see it has a pool (although I’ve had to explain to her, it may still be a little chilly to go for a swim!) and is excited by her pretty bedroom for the week.

And I can’t wait to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a lie in (you never know!) in the gorgeous master bedroom.

I love how the apartment is modern and contemporary but has retained it’s old ‘charm’ with stone walls and original beams. It also has absolutely everything we need for us as a family of three, which is a must when you’re holidaying with a wee person!

Italy Umbria accommodation

We’ve got a list of places we’re longing to visit and I can’t wait to share our adventures with you on our return.

So there will be no blog posts next week, but if you fancy seeing how we’re living ‘la dolce vita’ I promise I’ll do my best to share some snaps of our Italian adventure over on Instagram.

Easter in Italy…how jammy are we?! (Feel free to throw your chocolate eggs at me now *winks)

If you fancy creating your own Italian adventure, please do check out the luxury accommodation provider Bookings For You.

They have a wide variety of the most gorgeous places to stay right across Italy, including lots in Umbria and are one of my favourite clients, as they’re always such a pleasure to work with. (And I don’t say that lightly!)

Have a wonderful Easter break! Ciao!

With love,

Kate

  • Oh how exciting! That apartment looks amazing, I’m sure you’ll have a fabulous time! I’ve always wanted to go to Italy. We’re off toDevon on Monday, not quite the same but I’m looking forward to it just as much 😊 X

  • Wow that sounds like an experience of a lifetime. Have fun, Italy is one of my favorite places I have been although hubby and kids have never been and I am dying for us all to go one day. I will wait your verdict where you go. Sounds dreamy. Truffles yum! Although I do kind of want to throw my cadbury eggs at you now. xo

    • Haha! It’s OK, I’d be the same. It’s a gorgeous country, like you, it’s one of my favourite places. Stay tuned for my recommendations coming up. Hope you had a lovely Easter darling x
