This morning. 6.16am. In bed. “Mummy, why are you and Daddy so worried? Why does Daddy keep reading the news?” “Because a bad man has been given a very important job darling, but don’t you worry, everything will be fine!” Oh the lies we tell our beautiful, innocent and loving children.
IT’S not that bad, this school run malarkey. I came to this conclusion a few days ago and it’s true, it isn’t. But. I will say this. It sure takes some getting used to.
FOR a long time I’ve been admiring this brand that I’m about to mention today. Out and about in my local town, I can always spot their stunning, vibrant pushchairs and have swooned over more blog posts featuring their gorgeous products than I can probably count. IN eight days, Elsie will turn four. Another year older, another age reached, another little milestone passed. Last week we had her first school induction, the week before that I bought some of bits and pieces of her school uniform and on Friday she will visit nursery for the very last time and we will say goodbye to the staff who have done such a wonderful job of looking after

THIS is the question I keep asking myself at the moment. The one that is continually repeating itself over and over in my frazzled brain. Have I been the best Mum? Have I? Have I? Have I been as good as I could have been? (To date, obviously.)
AT bedtime, Elsie and I have got a new routine. Which goes a little something like this…pyjamas on, brush teeth, clean face, toilet trip, bedtime story (or two), lights out, cuddles and a question. A very simple question that I’ve introduced over the past few weeks. And the question is this:
