WHEN I first started this very blog back in 2012, I had no idea where it would take me. If indeed anywhere! I had no objectives or game plans, no goals to meet or things I ‘had to do’, just a real urge to write honestly about what it feels like – from my perspective- to be a woman in this world.

A FEW months ago, I considered quitting blogging. Wrapping my creative baby up and taking her away from the online world. It happens every so often. Four years into Pouting In Heels and I’m well aware that every so often, when things turn a darker shade, I find myself in the ‘should I quit?!’ position.
AS a blogger, it’s hard not to think that you suck sometimes. That your work has little meaning. Or to put it bluntly… that it’s total and utter crap. I feel this way every couple of weeks at least. It’s a regular occurrence in my world. An old, familiar enemy.
A FEW days ago I delivered my first ever workshop! A 2.5hr blogging workshop bonanza in my home town of Barnsley to an eager, enthusiastic and absolutely lovely group. During it I chatted about my personal experience as a blogger, how I’ve made it to the level of ‘professional blogger’ (by that I mean, I do it professionally as a living) and talked about the importance of creating great content,
I’VE just blown a small fortune on this amazing pair of heels. I can’t really afford them in all honesty. So I probably ‘shouldn’t’ have bought them. But I did, because when I saw them, it felt like fate was calling. I’d just recorded a vlog about celebrating four years of blogging when an email landed in in my inbox. I clicked. It opened. And then I saw the shoes!
I’M in celebration mode today… Because this ol’ blog of mine is four years old tomorrow. Four years old! Crazy stuff indeed. I can hardly believe it!
