STYLE: Ooh la la! Shoes to make you swoon…

IMG_0917

I’VE come across some beautiful, sigh-inducing shoes in my time, but my oh my, the footwear brand I’m going to share with you now really is something else.

After working previously as an editor for the footwear publication Out On A Limb, I like to think I know quite a bit about incredible footwear and let me tell you folks, the Spring Summer 2013 collection from Aperlai is exactly that, incredible. Or as the French would say (Aperlai is a Parisian brand ) ‘incroyable’!

Aperlai designs feature a bold use of materials, such as exotic snakeskin and pony, and sleek, clean lines which just scream sophistication.

From towering statement heels that are oh so sexy, to stylish flats that combine comfort with iconic design, the collection really does have a pair suitable for everyone.

Admittedly the shoes are pretty pricey however when footwear is this beautiful, you’d be making a intelligent and stylish investment! Just think of it as a much needed treat for your hard working feet.

Here, especially for you, are my favourite picks from the Aperlai SS13 collection.

Prepare to swoon and then get saving. I’ve already got my piggy bank out. ;-)

Shoes 1

I absolutely adore these lizard-inspired stilettos that are stylish, edgy and witty too. £575.
Check out the gold stud detail at the back and the fabulous cut out sections! Truly shoes fit for a (green) goddess.

Shoes 2

Next up are these chic black suede heeled sandals that feature contrasting nude snakeskin straps. £585.
Effortlessly sexy, this stunning pair of vertiginous heels are, in my humble opinion, a modern day classic, perfect to wear with everything from your favourite skinny jeans to your little black dress. J’adore!

shoes 3Heels may always have my fashion heart, but even I have to admit these flouro python Gatsby loafers are pretty special. £390.
Aperlai’s iconic loafers have been given a spring overhaul with the acid bright edging, making them the perfect choice for a warm, sunny day or for adding cheer to a miserable, grey one.

Shoes 4

Finally, but not any less spectacularly, are these gorgeous silver Marilyn heels. £485.
Introducing a new wave of modern elegance, these stunning shoes feature silver metallic leather and futuristic design elements. Powerful but incredibly feminine, if the great Marilyn herself was alive today, I’m sure she would approve. In fact, can’t you picture her in them?

What do you think of the collection? Very difficult I know, but which pair would you choose?

Till the next time, don’t walk, strut!

Katie

I tell all the girlies out there to save up and treat yourself to some beautiful shoes as there will be a time when you can’t wear them anymore, and I never ever thought I would say this, you see i’m a little bit elderly now, and still love shoes but my limit now is 3″ :( so treat yourself you deserve it!!! Lots of love from a Elsies swooning Grandma XXX

    • Thanks Janine. I like your thinking!

It’s very hard to choose a favourite as I love them all, even the flats (!) but if I had to pick I think I would go for the silver ones on this occasion!
