STARTING THE DAY WITH BELVITA

WINTER is here.

Or certainly it feels like it, doesn’t it?!

The dark nights and the cold mornings. I love this time of year, but like all of us, I struggle to rise from my cosy warm bed when it’s time to get up and face the day.

So I was a little thrilled when the thoughtful team at belVita sent me a special hamper to help get my days off to a flying start!

(Even if it’s not quite the same as staying in bed.)

I received the hamper when I got back from Italy and it was the perfect pick me up, especially as I’ve been battling the germ war again this week.

You can see here that it was full of all manner of goodies, including a hot water bottle (a miracle cure for many ills!), a cute and cheerful cushion (that now goes to bed with Elsie) and two boxes of very lovely treats – the new belVita Breakfast Soft Bakes.

Do you struggle to grab a decent breakfast in the morning?

Well you’re not alone. Me too!

I often get to lunchtime before I realise I haven’t had a chance to grab something to eat and end up demolishing half a loaf of bread for lunch. You know what I mean right?!

But it can be tricky, can it not? When we’re battling to get the kids out of the door, ourselves ready and the cats fed, and all before 8am?

And this kind of normal busy-ness takes its toll, with breakfast falling right at the bottom of our morning to do list, if we’re not careful.

Which is why I’m really enjoying these bakes. (And have eaten a whole box already!)

Because they’re fantastic on-the-go fuel, a quick and tasty treat, perfect for those mornings when everything is going wrong and you’re lucky to just make it out of the house with seconds to spare.

The soft bakes come in three flavours – Golden Grain, Red Berries or Chocolate Chip – and are made with five wholegrains and rich in cereals, offering plenty of fibre and containing vitamins B6, magnesium and iron.

Which let’s face it, definitely sounds healthier than a quickly devoured piece of toast.

And the one thing that has really surprised me, besides them tasting really good, is how filling they are!

Something Jamie, my husband, remarked at the other day, when he tucked into one too. (Yep, I’m not the only convert.)

belVita Soft Bakes are really yummy and if you’re pressed for time, like me and so many of us, I think you’ll love ’em.

So invest in a box, grab one of them as you’re leaving the house or – if you’re good at planning ahead – make sure you squirrel one away in your handbag for when you get to the office and enjoy with a cup of tea.

And as easy as that, your breakfast is sorted!

Sadly, my nasty cold is still making its grotty presence felt, but these lovely morsels have most definitely given me a ‘softer (and tastier) start’ to the day.

With love,

Kate
