Lingerie, besides ‘doing it’s job’ is supposed to make us feel fantastic. However sadly, that’s not always the case.

If you’ve ever shopped online for lingerie like me, you’ll no doubt be very used to coming across beautiful, incredibly slim models showcasing all manner of under garments from the frilliest of fancy knickers to the simplest and comfiest of bras. But sometimes, as lovely as these women are to look at, lets be honest…it can make you feel a little bit rubbish about your own glorious body if you’re not quite in a body positive kind of place.

Project Lingerie is a lingerie subscription service that offers fashionable, on-trend and quite frankly stunning lingerie pieces and delivers them to you on a monthly basis. The team very kindly sent me one of their boxes to give me an idea of the kind of item you can expect and I have to say, I was impressed.

In my Project Lingerie box I received this beautiful playsuit by Wolf & Whistle as well as a miniature bar of handmade soap. (Each month every subscriber also receives an extra little gift.)

The playsuit is gorgeous and good quality too. It’s the kind of item that before children and nursing bras and huge practical pants, I would happily have splurged on in a jiffy. And definitely the kind of lingerie I hope to start treating myself more to, now my breastfeeding years are finally over.

But what I think I love more than anything, even more so than the lovely lingerie if possible, is the ethos of this brand. Because to be honest it’s a refreshing, welcome and much needed change in a world that too often can make us feel inadequate or just not good enough.

All the brands they choose to include have to share their values in female empowerment.

Admittedly a lingerie subscription service like this does sound like a luxury, but when you consider how it can help you to feel a million times better about your body and yourself, well it just may be one of the wisest purchases you’ll ever make.
