YOU know your life is incredibly busy when you miss a milestone.

Which is exactly what has happened to me folks, as alas, I have missed out on my little ol’ blog turning 2!

I only realised this yesterday when I thought to myself, I’ll just double check when I published my first post. *palm to head* Anyway, for some reason, I had it in my brain that it was around the 22nd, but nope, unbelievably it was the 6th February 2012 when I launched this blog, so I’m 13 days late to the party!

But not to worry. The important thing is that I’ve reached the number because let me tell you, a few months ago when my blogging mojo ran for the hills, there was a moment or two, when I did think that it might be the end of the road.

So it’s safe to say I’m pretty damn chuffed to still be here and of course, to have you still here with me.

Last year, when the blog turned 1, I celebrated with a cupcake. This year, well, seeing as I’ve missed it, I’m just going to toast it with a cup of tea instead. And I might just throw in a biscuit too.

So what awaits this blog in the future? Well, hopefully quite a bit!

I’ve already made some changes to the blog in the last few days and have been a busy beaver updating my About Me, Contact, Work With Me and Links I Love pages. Do have a gander if you’ve got a few minutes and let me know what you think.

I’m also planning on giving the blog a BIG makeover in a few weeks or so. I don’t know if some of you ever do this with something you have created, but I looked at my blog through a critical eye the other day and thought dammmmn, it’s time for a revamp! Blogger friends, I’m pretty sure you’ll know where I’m coming from, in regards to this!

Next month, I’m going to be posing (yes, again!) for some new pics. Lately I’ve been doing lots of interviews and while there is nothing wrong with a good selfie, let’s just say I am in desperate need of some professional pics so I’m really looking forward to sharing those with you soon. Me and my lovely photographer Jane have got some cracking ideas up our sleeves!

I’m still busy seeking out incredible women and their amazing stories to share on my ‘your secrets’ series so keep your eyes peeled for some wonderful stories coming up soon. (Including those from a famous singer and a beautiful woman with a brave mission!) And of course, if you’ve got one of your own that you’d like to share, please do get in touch.

So what else is on the agenda?

Well other changes to the blog will include the introduction of some videos featuring me and my dulcet tones (fancy huh?!) and an area for advertising space.

When it comes to advertising, I know not all of you will like this thought but what can I say, a gal’s got to earn a living and I promise you that the only brands that will be featured, will be ones worth hearing about. It won’t be obtrusive either. But yes, soon it will be there and hopefully you’ll like it. Who knows perhaps you’ll even get to here about a fantastic company that will change your life?! And of course, if you’re a small business keen to hear more, holler!

As always, I cannot write about this blog and its success without mentioning you guys.

Because although I will always write – even for the sheer hell of it – let’s just say that knowing I have a friendly, loyal, lovely audience, absolutely rocks my world. I never imagined a couple of years ago that Pouting In Heels would resonate with so many of you, and all I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
