MY ‘BUMP SHOOT’ PHOTOS!

CAPTURING my growing bump in all of its glory is something I’ve always wanted to do in this pregnancy. I had a maternity shoot when I was pregnant with Elsie and second time around, I knew I wanted to have some special photographs taken again to remind me of this incredibly happy time. Particularly as this pregnancy has gone by so quickly! Being pregnant again for the second time has been

#WIH INTERVIEW: TALKING CONFIDENCE WITH LISA WALKER

I’M giddy as a kipper today! And not just because the blog has had an overhaul (do you like it?!) but because finally I’m also able to bring to you the first in a very new series – Wisdom In Heels. #WisdomInHeels is a series I’ve been meaning and wanting to launch for well over a year and in a nutshell it’s all about celebrating women’s voices and their wisdom.

DRESSING THE BUMP … IN A COMFY FROCK

THE larger the bump gets, the more creative I’m having to become with my wardrobe. So I thought I’d start sharing a weekly style post for ‘dressing the bump’ or should that be ‘dressing the HUGE bump’ now I’m in my third trimester. This time around, with pregnancy number two, I’m having to try and keep as snug as a bug in this increasingly cold weather whilst also trying to

THE LIES WE’RE FORCED TO TELL OUR KIDS (AS THE WORLD WE KNOW CRUMBLES)

This morning. 6.16am. In bed. “Mummy, why are you and Daddy so worried? Why does Daddy keep reading the news?” “Because a bad man has been given a very important job darling, but don’t you worry, everything will be fine!” Oh the lies we tell our beautiful, innocent and loving children.

29 WEEKS – A PREGNANCY UPDATE

TIME is continuing to whizz by quicker than I’m comfortable with! On Friday I had my anti D jab (something you need to have if your blood group is rhesus negative) and today marks the first day of my 29th week. Crikey!

IS BLOGGING BECOMING ALL A BIT TOO SERIOUS?

WHEN I first started this very blog back in 2012, I had no idea where it would take me. If indeed anywhere! I had no objectives or game plans, no goals to meet or things I ‘had to do’, just a real urge to write honestly about what it feels like – from my perspective- to be a woman in this world.

REVIEW: THE WITCH THAT COULDN’T DANCE

LIKE so many of you, Elsie and I have been doing all manner of Halloween things this week for half term. On Monday we went pumpkin picking for the first time (which was more fun than I expected!) yesterday we did plenty of Halloween drawings and on Tuesday we made a trip to our local arty place, the Barnsley Civic to see the perfect Halloween performance, The Witch That Couldn’t

27 WEEKS! (AND COUNTING)

UNBELIEVABLY I am now 27 weeks pregnant, which as my phone baby app told me the other day, now also means I am ‘officially in my third trimester’. Wow. I’ve said it a few times but it’s true, this pregnancy is going by so quickly and I’m becoming well aware that before I know it (all being well) my baby boy will be here.
