Some business advice from yours truly (because it’s good to share)

some business advice from yours truly

It’s good to share knowledge isn’t it?

AS a freelancer and blogger, I have lost count of the number of emails and messages I receive from people looking for a little guidance and help about working for themselves.

In truth, sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming and even though I wish I had the time to reply to everyone and share with them my pearls of wisdom, it’s just not possible as my time is so limited.

But what IS possible is to share them on here or somewhere else online where everywhere can access them easily. Hurrah! Thank goodness for the Internet ey?

Anyway, as advice goes, I’m going all out this week, making not one but two appearances!

You can catch me here on the wonderful Potty Mouthed Mummy’s blog where I talk a little about Pouting In Heels, why I started it and share my top 5 blogging tips. (Number 1 is my all round favourite!)

Annndd…you can listen to me here (if you’re brave enough for my Northern dulcet tones!) in my first ever podcast interview (!) on the marvellous Excellence Expected.

In it I talk about how I’ve managed to find the perfect work /life balance working for myself (which admittedly often feels nowhere near that!), share some tips which have worked for me and mention the book that changed my life.

I was so nervous about doing the interview with the lovely Mark Asquith, but when I got into the swing of things so to speak, I absolutely loved it! Which shouldn’t be a surprise really considering what a chatterbox I am.

I think it was probably more down to the fact that I’m more used to interviewing rather than being interviewed so it always feels a little weird, but anyhow, I did it and I’m really thrilled with the end result.

If you like it, I can definitely recommend that you listen to the other podcasts in the series or even better, sign up to make sure you don’t miss any of them!

There’s some real gold nuggets of advice in here from incredibly successful people who have been good enough to share their tips on how to excel in business and life so you’d be crazy not to take advantage of them.

I mean, little ol’ me is only next to global entrepreneur and former Dragon’s Den Dragon Doug Richards in the series! (He’s number 10, I’m 11) Can you believe it? Nope, I can’t either! But still, how absolutely lovely ey?

I have to say, I do feel a little silly to be situated next to such a giant of business knowledge (and in awe!) but I’m truly humbled and thrilled to be part of such an incredible initiative so a big thank you to Mark.

Please do check it out if you can, and of course let me know what you think. As always, I’m all ears. :)

With love,

Kate

Such a fun time during the interview and your place next to Mr. Richard is wholly deserved.
