Birchbox review: Truly ‘beauty-full’ post

Birchobox review 1

I DON’T know about you but nothing puts a spring in my step more than some lovely post.

You know, not bills and the like (obviously) but fabulous post that makes you as giddy as a kipper.

Birchbox is a company that provides such happy post, which not only leaves you feeling great but also helps you to look fantastic too. How?

Well besides the actual experience of receiving something fabulous from your postie once a month, this special little box is also crammed chock a block with a delightful selection of deluxe beauty and lifestyle goodies. And all for the very reasonable price of just £10 per month plus P&P.

This particular ‘Birchbox’ came to me in August and so you can see exactly what I mean, here’s what was inside.

Designed with holidays in mind (it was August after all) the box contained: Resist Me eau de parfum from Liaison De Parfum,  Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect conditioning spray, Supergoop Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream, Wild About Beauty creme eyeshadow, Nude Progenius Omega treatment oil and chapter 1 of a perfect beach novel, The Proposal by Tasmina Perry.

So what did I think?

Well, it’s safe to say I loved all of the goodies that were sent, however I’m particularly fond of the perfume which makes me smell as sweet as sweet can be, the eyeshadow which has superb staying power and the Nude treatment oil which seems to be really helping to hydrate my exhausted mummy skin.

I love the way they arrive in a pretty box. I love the way the box comes through the post and I love the way in which you get a monthly goody box of beauty surprises that enables you to try out brands that you may never have come across otherwise, for just a tenner.

In my view, Birchbox is a a little beauty of an idea that is definitely worth a tiny monthly splurge.

Resist it, if you dare folks. But I’ll warn you, you may well regret it if you do.

With love,

Kate

  • This does look fab, and a great concept. I have very problematic skin thanks to pcos so only use organic argan or jojoba oil. Might make a nice gift though xx #allaboutyou

    • I think it would be a super gift. Already considering it for my Mum for christmas as she’s such a beauty junkie :) x
